I've just read the paper, 'Publicity and Formation of a "Japanese Style" Modern State' written by Oguma Eiji.
He says that: in Japan, intermediary groups were the sub-system of the state, so an individual felt that I was alienated by them.
His argument is quite superior.
But he does not show how to solve this problem.
I think that he is too stoic.
