A summer seminar of my school starts soon.
So I need various preparation.
To my students, it's so important.
Especially, mathematics has a certain kind of deepness.
Sold textbooks for a summer seminar cannot fulfill my need.
I'll consult my friend about it.

My first impression of "The Brothers Karamazov"

I'm reading a book "The Brothers Karamazov" written by Dostoevskii, translated by Kameyama Ikuo.
Kameyama's translation is very good. So the novel turns to a plain Japanese text.
The brothers Karamazov means three brothers.
But rather, the father is a very funky, impressive man.

"Republican Tradition in Europe"

I was searching for the book "Republican Tradition in Europe" written by Herbert A. L. Fisher.
But I cannot find it in Amazon.co.jp.
So I access Amazon.com, but I cannot find the new book. Though there are the used books.
Then I remember a search engine.
When I search the title of the book, so I can find this page:

I need to use a library because there are unreadable pages.

The Great Gatsby

I've start to read "The Great Gatsby" by Scott Fitzgerald. To page 12.
The gorgeous background which charactors act in is so interesting.

National income statistics

I'm reading a book of macro economics written by Yoshikawa Hiroshi.
Chapter one is about a national income statistics.
The auther told that we need to understand both flow and stock.
It's so easy to understand for me.

"Love Story"

I read Erich Segal's famous book "Love Story", retold by Rosemary Border.
It was quite sad.
When I have an occasion, I'd like to watch the movie or to read the original story.

Graded Readers

I brought many books to my school.
The books are Graded Readers that I bought at Kinokuni-ya bookstore.
Then I wrote the list of them, and how to read them.

A new cell phone

I'm using a new cell phone.
It has nice design and color.
It's lighter than the cell phone which I used.

I've started to read the book "The power of your subconscious mind" written by J.Murphy.
The auther emphasizes of the power of desire.

My favorite topic

I've finished reading Larry's book.
There're a lot of interesting topics.
Especially, my favorite is what-if question.

The value of preparation

A typhoon goes out. So it was cool now.
I proceed reading the Larry's book to chapter 9.
He told that the preparing is important in a speech.
I agreed him.

a passion

It's rainy.
I went to the funeral of my relative. I heard a speech, so I cried.
I've reading the Larry's book. To page 140. He tells that a passion of own work improves a person. I think so.

I continue to read Larry's book. To page 139.
When I read chapter 6, Business Talk, I'd like to get the gold watch, three-piece suit, and the PowerPoint. ;-)

My pet to talk

It's cool and cloudy day.
I've reading the book, "How to Talk to Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere", written by Larry King (with Bill Gilbert).
I've already read it by 122 pages.
Especially, Chapter 2 is interesting.
For example, Larry told that: Talk to your pet. So it's useful to overcome shyness.
Where have my cat gone since last month?

An acceptable end

I've finished S. Maugham's novel "The Magician."
The story is about an evil man.
While the reading, I can guess the end of it.
